The focus of the visit was their joint lecture entitled “Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery”, in which current approaches to nanotechnology in pharmacy and the main research areas of our working group were presented. The event also provided an opportunity for exchange with lecturers, researchers, and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. As part of this collaboration, Amina Tucak-Smajić and Merima Sirbubalo-Šahinović also offered insights into their laboratories and the practical training conducted there for students.
The stay took place within the framework of the bilateral research project “Nanoparticle-Mediated Delivery of microRNAs for Adipose Tissue Reprogramming: An alternative to Ozempic?”, led by Ivana Ruseska (University of Graz) and Amina Tucak-Smajić (University of Sarajevo). This scientific exchange aims to further strengthen the existing cooperation between the University of Graz and the University of Sarajevo and to open up new opportunities for joint research activities as well as for the international exchange of students and early-career researchers.
