Dr Ivana Ruseska’s participation in the BioSPM Summer School 2026, organised by the WPI Nano Life Science Institute at Kanazawa University in Japan, was made possible through a selection process involving early-career researchers from around the world. The Summer School brings together young researchers to familiarise themselves with modern scanning probe microscopy techniques and their applications in biological and biomedical research.
During the programme, Dr Ruseska will receive hands-on training in state-of-the-art methods, including high-speed atomic force microscopy (HS-AFM). She will also have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with internationally recognised experts and pioneers in this field. She is particularly looking forward to applying this technique to investigate the formation and behaviour of protamine-based nanoparticles for microRNA transport. She will also have the opportunity to present her research findings and receive valuable feedback from leading scientists.
From 17 to 21 August 2026, the researcher from the University of Graz will have the chance to further develop her expertise in the characterisation of nanoparticles and gain valuable insights that she can incorporate into her research at the University of Graz. She is also looking forward to interdisciplinary exchange with researchers from various disciplines, establishing new scientific contacts and gaining fresh inspiration for future joint research projects.
The University of Graz warmly congratulates Dr Ivana Ruseska on this opportunity and wishes her every success in representing the University of Graz at this international event, as well as in further expanding her knowledge of modern bioimaging technologies.
