NanoAssemblr® Benchtop Instrument

Precision Nanosystems, Vancouver, Kanada

NanoAssemblr®  enables the manufacturing of drug loaded nanoparticles at controlled conditions using microfluidics.

  • Nanoparticle synthesis:  Rapid and controlled manufacturing of nanopharmaceuticals through laminar mixing of two liquid streams within a specifically designed microfluidic cartridge.
  • Controlled synthesis:  The size of the nanoparticles can be tuned by precise adjustment of the flow rates. The total flow rate and the flow rate ratio can be varied to fine tune particle size. Variability in solvent choice and concentrations on desired outcomes enables rational formulation design.
  • Versatility:  Small molecules, peptides, and nucleic acids can be formulated with lipids, polymers or hybrid nanoparticles.
  • Reproducibility: A computer controlled single-step manufacturing process guarantees a high batch-to-batch reproducibility.
  • Scalability:   Easy scalable between 1mL bis 15 mL / min. Rapid and efficient manufacturing of pharmaceutical nanoformulations within minutes.

NanoSight LM10 Instrument

Malvern Instruments, Herrenberg, Germany

The NanoSight LM10 utilizes Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) to characterize nanoparticles from 10-1000 nm in diameter in solution. Each particle is individually but simultaneously analyzed by direct observation and measurement of diffusion events. Both particle size and concentration (number of particles in solution) are measured, while a fluorescence mode provides differentiation of intrinsic or fluorescently labelled nanoparticles.

Litesizer 500 - Particle size analyzer

Anton Paar, Graz, Austria

The Litesizer 500 is an instrument for characterizing nano- and microparticles in dispersions and solutions. It determines particle size, zeta potential, and molecular mass by measuring dynamic light scattering (DLS), electrophoretic light scattering (ELS), and static light scattering (SLS).
Moreover, the Litesizer 500 is the only DLS-based particle analyzer that is able to perform a straightforward measurement of the sample’s refractive index.
A highlight of the Litesizer 500 is its ingeniously simple software. We have created a one-page workflow, where input parameters, results and analysis are all on a single page: You can set up your experiments in a few seconds, and produce the analyses and reports you need at the touch of a button.

  • Particle characterization from the nano- to the micrometer range
  • Particle size measurements via dynamic light scattering at three different measurement angles
  • Determination of zeta potential using patented cmPALS
  • Molecular mass and refractive index measurements

Refractometer - Abbemat 3000
